Day 1AIRPORT – NEGOMBO
Arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Negombo.

Day 2NEGOMBO – KURUNAGALA – HABARANA
After a leisurely breakfast, set off to the Habarana, enroute visit Ridee Viharaya or the Silver Temple in Kurunagala which was built at the place where silver ore was found, that was made used to build Ruwanweli Dageba at Anuradhapura by King Dutugemunu during his reign. Ridi Vihara is an important Raja Maha Vihara belonging to the Cultural Triangle. Historical Data on this Monastery complex is found in some Caves written in Brahmin Inscriptions.
Afterwards visit Ibbankatuwa Megalithic Tombs which is one of the more overlooked ruins of the town of Dambulla. These tombs are believed to be the place in which many of the prehistoric inhabitants would bury their dead.

Day 3HABARANA – POLONNARUWA – RITIGALA
After breakfast, leave for Polonnaruwa. Do a sightseeing tour in ancient city Polonnaruwa (11th Century AD)
Visit the many sites of archaeological and historical interest in the Sacred City including the Grate Statue, Quadrangle, Royal Palace, Gal Viharaya, Kumara and Lotus Ponds, Thiwanka Image House and many more. And see the one of the country’s biggest water reservoirs Parakrama Samudraya.
In the evening leave for visit Ritigala which is a world-famous ancient Buddhist monastery and mountain range in Sri Lanka
Day 4HABARANA – SIGIRIYA
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Sigiriya rock fortress OR Pidurangala rock.
Sigiriya Rock fortress Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress and palace built during the reign of King Kassapa I (AD 477 – 495). Contemporary with the paintings of Ajantha and Ellora Caves in India, highlights being the Frescoes, Mirror Wall and the Lion’s Paw, and it is one of the Seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka.
Pidurangala rock is a rock located a few kilometers north of the famous Sigiriya rock in Sri Lanka. Pidurangala Vihara is an ancient Buddhist temple situated on a massive rock called Pidurangala.
In the evening relax at the hotel or take an OPTIONAL Jeep safari at Minneriya National Park, Kaudulu Oya National Park or Eco Park.

Day 5Lake Geneva and Château de Chillon
It’s market day in Lausanne! Enjoy browsing and packing a picnic lunch for our 11 a.m. boat cruise on Lake Geneva. A few miles down-shore we’ll dock at Château de Chillon, where we’ll have a guided tour of this delightfully medieval castle on the water. On our way back we’ll take time to peek into the vineyards surrounding Lutry before returning to Lausanne. Boat: 2 hrs. Bus: 1 hr. Walking: moderate.
Day 5HABARANA – DAMBULLA – MATALE – KANDY
Breakfast at hotel. Afterwards proceed to Kandy. On the way visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla. The largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka, the rock from which the caves were carved towers 160 meters (520 ft) over the surrounding plains. A total of 153 Buddha statues, three statues of Sri Lankan kings and four statues of gods and goddesses also stand in the site.
Visit Gedige at Nalanda one of the remarkable archaeological sites in Sri Lanka & enjoying the Spice Garden at Matale and take part in a conducted tour to get some knowledge about the growth and use of spices in the day-to-day life.
Visit the Temple of the tooth relic.

Day 6Kandy
A guided tour to the Perradeniya Botanical gardens in the morning.
History tells us that King George V and Queen Mary of England planted the Cannonball Tree in 1901. During the World War II the Botanic Garden was used by Lord Louis Moutbatten the supreme commander of the allied forces in South Asia as the headquarters of the South East Asia Command. It was the Royal Gardens from 1780 to 1798.

In the evening view the Cultural Dance Show at 17:30. The Cultural dance Show is a distinctive local music culture on the Island best reflected in the Hill Country.
The show takes place every evening in the city of Kandy an in-house performance hosted near the Tooth Relic Temple.
Day 7Kandy – Numara Eliya – Ella
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Ella via Nuwara eliya, travel to the heart of the country at the highest elevation to reach the rolling clouds above you. Nicknamed “Little England”, Nuwara Eliya harbors many British colonial buildings and architectural wonders to be christened so. Witness the mountains covered with tea bushes and cascading waterfalls.
Stay Two Nights at Oakray Ella Hotel in Ella.
Day 8Ella – Badulla – Ella
Breakfast at the hotel. Make a scenic return train ride from Ella to Badulla.
Visit Nine Arches Bridge. It is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction in the country. This bridge is 300 feet in length, 25 feet in width and 80-100 feet in height.
Conduct a Nature Trail of the Little Adam`s Peak, the Little Adam`s Peak got it`s named after it`s big brother, the holy mountain Adam`s Peak, because of the similar shape.
Day 9Ella – Uadawalawe
Breakfast at the hotel. Leave for Udawalawe. Enroute visit Rawana Falls, which is a popular sightseeing attraction in Sri Lanka. It currently ranks as one of the widest falls in the country.
Check in at the hotel in Udawalawe.
Visit the feeding of the baby elephant orphanage at the “Elephant Transit Camp” bordering the Udawalawe National Park at 14:30 for 30 minutes.
Optional: 4X4 jeep safari at Udawalawe National Park starting at 15:00.
